Sample coverage Households located within the boundaries of all settlements in Turkey are covered. Those who live in schools, dormitories, hotels, kindergartens, nursing homes, hospitals and prisons defined as institutional population and those residing in barracks and army houses are not included. In addition, settlements that are thought to not be able to reach a sufficient number of sample households (small villages, camps, hamlets etc.) with a population not exceeding 1% of the total population are excluded.
Sample size - In 2018, 5410 households are surveyed.
- In 2019, 5410 households and 9 212 individuals were interviewed.
- In 2020, 5410 households and 10 103 individuals were interviewed.
Interview method Survey data are collected by face-to-face interviews with individuals aged 18 and over living at sample household addresses. Household and individual questionnaires were conducted with a laptop using the method of face-to-face interviews.(CAPI)
Reference period for application of survey The Life Satisfaction Survey designed to provide estimations in Turkey level is carried out once a year. Field application is in November of each year.
