The time series shows the economic contribution of tourism to a country’s economy. Thus, it measures the Türkiye tourism direct gross value added (TDGVA) as a proportion of Türkiye’s total GVA. |

Other information | Tourism direct gross value added (TDGVA): It is an indicator that shows the direct connection between the demand of visitors and the supply of producers. It is the value added created by tourism sectors and other sectors in the economy that provide direct services to visitors for tourism consumption. The use of the term “direct” means that the tourism satellite account measures only the part of the value added created by the tourism sectors and other sectors that is consumed by visitors. It does not measure the indirect and induced effects that consumption may produce. |
