Description of indicator | This indicator gives percentage of children at the end of primary education and at the end of lower secondary education achieving at least a minimum proficiency level in mathematics, by sex. It is based on Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study Results (TIMSS), conducted every four years by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA). This monitoring research assess the knowledge and skills gained by 4th and 8th grade students. Türkiye is participated to TIMSS 2019 and TIMSS 2023 cycle at the Grade 5 and Grade 8 class levels. |
