Description of indicator The proportion of individuals using the internet is defined as the ratio of individuals who used the Internet from any location in three months (the months of January-February-March in relevant year) to all individuals (aged 16-74) covered in the survey.

Sample coverage Each year, taking into account the current framework, an independent sample selection process is carried out over the National Address Database, which matches the records of the Address Based Population Registration System of the relevant year. The data are compiled from the selected households according to the determined sampling method.
Sample size While the results of the research were given in terms of Turkey, urban and rural areas until 2011, it was designed to produce estimates for the 16-74 age group in 2011 and later on the basis of Turkey's total and Statistical Regional Units Classification Level 1 (NUTS Level 1) totals. An average of 17 500 households are interviewed.
Interview method Computer Assisted Personal Interview Method (CAPI) was applied until 2020, and Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) method was applied in 2020 and after.
Reference period for application of survey The reference period is the first quarter of each year.
Field survey time and duration The research is carried out in April every year.
Sample coverage The sampling frame of the study, which is decided to be conducted every two years, is an independent sample selection process carried out through the National Address Database, which matches the updated Address Based Population Registration System records of the relevant year. The sampling frame consists of households with at least one child aged 6-15, selected by simple random and systematic sampling methods. The results do not show skill; they show the proportion of children's ICT usage and cover Türkiye as a whole.The results cover the whole of Türkiye.
Sample size The sample size of the research, which was first implemented as an independent research in 2024, is 5062 households.
Interview method All of them were implemented using the "Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI)" method.
Reference period for application of survey The current year is the year in which the biennial application is made.
