Description of indicator a) Grand National Assembly of Türkiye
* The representation status of women eligible for election in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) is calculated by dividing the proportion of female members of parliament in the GNAT by the proportion of women in the total population who are eligible for election. Since the minimum age for being elected as a member of parliament was 25 until 2016 and has been 18 from 2017 onwards, eligibility for election has been calculated by considering these ages. This indicator has been calculated in accordance with the global metadata. The proportion of female members of parliament in the assembly is presented as an additional indicator.

* The representation status of youth eligible for election in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye is calculated by dividing the proportion of young members of parliament (aged 45 and under) in the GNAT by the proportion of youth in the total population who are eligible for election. Since the minimum age for being elected as a member of parliament was 25 until 2016 and has been 18 from 2017 onwards, eligibility for election has been calculated by considering these ages. This indicator has been calculated in accordance with the global metadata. The proportion of young members of parliament in the assembly (members aged 45 and under) is presented as an additional indicator.
b) Public services
* The representation status of youth eligible to work in public services is calculated by dividing the proportion of youth employed in public services by the proportion of youth in the total population who are eligible to work in public services. In the calculation, the working age range of young employees in public services is taken as 22–34, and only young employees working in public services under 4/C status are considered in the calculation of this indicator. The proportion of youth working in public services (under 35 years old, with 4/C status) is presented as an additional indicator.

* The representation status of women eligible to work in public services is calculated by dividing the proportion of women employed in public services by the proportion of women in the total population who are eligible to work in public services. The working age range for women in public services has been determined as 22–58, and only women working in public services under 4/C status are considered in the calculation of this indicator. The proportion of women working in public services (with 4/C status) is presented as an additional indicator.
c) Judicial services
The proportion of women in judicial services is presented as the ratio of the number of female judges to the total number of judges in the following breakdown: i) Constitutional Court, Court of Cassation, and Council of State, ii) Regional Courts of Justice and Regional Administrative Courts, iii) Courts of First Instance in the Judicial System and Administrative and Tax Courts.

* When calculating the proportion of women and young working at public services, the ratios within the total number of employees with 4/C status are taken into account.

* The proportion of women/young eligible to work at public services in the total population is calculated by the ratio of the female/young population who have the eligibility to work at the public service (22-58 age group for women, 22-34 age group for young) to the female/young population in the related age group.
