This indicator represents per capita public expenditure for cultural and natural heritage in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP). Cultural heritage: Covers ethnological, anthropological, scientific, symbolic, historical, artistic, aesthetic works, monuments, building and building groups which has diversity of values including the social importance. Natural Heritage: Covers natural habitats that carry value of its natural beauty and conservation, scientific value as well as geological and physiographic formations that consists natural habitats of animal and plant species under threat. Also nature parks, zoos, aquariums and botanical gardens were included. Also archive and library related expenditure is included as they are considered under cultural heritage. The per capita calculation of sum of these indicators to population is given as the main indicator. |
