Description of indicator Compensation of employees is defined as the total remuneration, in cash or kind, paid by the enterprise to the employee in return for work done during the accounting period. It has two components; wages and salaries in cash or in kind and social insurance contributions paid by employers. Indicator represents the share of payments made to the labor force in total gross domestic product. Labour income of the self-employed is not covered in the compensation of employees.
